AUBURN, Ala.— Sophomore Terah Kipchiris posted a time of 24:06, placing sixth to help lead the CCU men's cross country team to a 13th place finish at the Auburn Invitational, held at Indian Pines Golf Course in Auburn, Ala.
SMU won the meet, finishing with 52 points, followed by Clemson in second,(97), Georgia (third, 150 points), Auburn (fourth, 183) and Virginia Tech (185 points), rounded out the top five.
Other individual finishes for the Chanticleers were Nelson Oliveria (22nd, 24:53), Johnny Mitchell (104th, 26:16), Mike Killoran (107th, 26:17),Garrett Heitkamp (123rd, 26:39),Mark Heidecker (143rd, 27:17), Justin Foxworth (164th, 27:35), Brian Chadwell (166th, 27:36), and Randy Johnson (205th, 28:55).
The CCU men's cross country team wil next compete in the Big South Conference meet on Nov. 2 at Rock Hill, S.C.
