GREENVILLE, N.C. — Coastal Carolina University's women's cross country team placed 13th out of 26 teams, while the men finished 20th out of 26 teams at the NCAA Southeast Regionals ran at Lake Kristi in Greenville, N.C.
The CCU men were led by Terah Kipchiris who finished 5th with a time of 30:09. Kipchiris earned all-region honors for his performance and became the first CCU track/cross country athlete on the men's side to qualify for nationals.
The Lady Chanticleers were led by Kim Nemergut and Lindsay Kozlowski who finished 55th (21:38) and 58th (21:45) respectively.
Freshman Anne Marie Moutsinga who was in the top five with under 200 meters left in the race, became ill and did not finish the race.
