CHARLESTON, SC — Coastal Carolina's Terah Kipchiris, the defending Big South Champion, and Kim Nemergut won the men's and women's cross country titles at the 2003 Roly Poly/College of Charleston Invitational Cross Country Meet held at the Dixie Plantation on Friday. The women and men both captured the team titles, posting decisive victories in both races.
Kipchiris won the 5K event with a time of 15:37.60, while teammate Nelson Oliveria finished second with a time of 16:09.40
Coastal swept the top three spots and placed six in the top 10 of the women's race. Nemergut won the individual title in 11:29.30, 16 seconds faster than teammate Lindsay Kozlowski. Eileen Wicker finished third, while Jessica Goeden, Aaryn Munson and Danielle Hagler placed sixth, eighth and ninth, respectively.
