MIAMI LAKES, FLA. -- The Coastal Carolina women's golf team placed 11th at the Papa John's Collegiate, Feb. 18-20. The 54-hole tournament was played at Don Shula's Golf Club (Par 72 - 6,317 yards) in Miami Lakes, Fla.

After struggling in the opening round, the Lady Chanticleers improved every round, finishing the final round with a 313 to wrap up the tournament at 967. Louisville won the team title with a 924, two shots better than San Jose State in second and eight shots ahead of South Florida and East Carolina in a tie for third.

Senior Katy Heher was the top performer for CCU, finishing with a three-round total of 238, tying for 26th.

The Lady Chants are back in tournament play Mon.-Tue., Mar. 12-13 at the Pinehurst Challenge at Pinehurst Resort #8 in Pinehurst, N.C.
