WALLACE, N.C. -- The Coastal Carolina women's golf team improved its score in each of its three rounds and finished sixth at the 2007 Lady Seahawk Invitational played at the River Landing Golf Club in Wallace, N.C.

 

The Lady Chanticleers opened the tournament with a 310 and then followed it with a 306 and 305 in the second and third rounds, respectively, to finish at 921. Host UNC Wilmington won the team honors with an 884, finishing 17 shots ahead of runner-up East Tennessee State.

 

Freshman Aruka Felgueroso posted her second straight top-10 finish, tying for ninth at 224, while fellow freshman Johanna Rodert had her first collegiate top-20 placing in a tie for 20th at 231.

 

CCU returns to the course Mon.-Tue., Apr. 2-3 at the John Kirk/Lady Panther Intercollegiate at Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Ga.
