CONWAY, S.C. – The 2010 Myrtle Beach Super Regional between the number four national seed Coastal Carolina University and the University of South Carolina will start Saturday, June 12 at 12 p.m., at BB&T Coastal Field in Myrtle Beach, S.C., it was announced by the NCAA tonight (June 7).
The Saturday contest will be televised on ESPNU. Game two will take place Sunday, June 13 at 1 p.m., on ESPN. The if necessary third game will be Monday, June 14 at either 1 or 7 p.m., on ESPN2.
Coastal Carolina won the Myrtle Beach Regional with an 11-10 10-inning win over the College of Charleston June 7. South Carolina won the Columbia Regional with a 10-2 win over Virginia Tech Sunday night.
This is the second time the Chanticleers have advanced to a Super Regional and the first time that Coastal Carolina has hosted this round.
Tickets for the 2010 NCAA Myrtle Beach Super Regional between Coastal Carolina and South Carolina are now on sale at the Myrtle Beach Pelicans box office.
Starting at 10 a.m., Tuesday morning, the Pelicans box office will be open for walk-up ticket sales only. Online ticketing will start Tuesday at 5 p.m. Phone orders can then be place after Tuesday's Pelicans game against the Winston-Salem Dash. The Pelicans ticket office number is 877-918-TIXX.
