VAIL, Colo. - The Coastal Carolina women's golf team wrapped up day one of the Golfweek Conference Challenge from the Fazio Course at the Red Sky Golf Club.
The Chanticleers played one round of the tournament and currently sit in 32nd place after 18 holes of play.
Senior Alicia Grier led the way for Coastal and finished with a score of 79, which included a pair of birdies, and ended the day tied for 56th place.
Junior Kaitlin Higginbotham shot an even 80 and birdied the fifth hole on her way to tying for 63rd place. Freshman Courtney Boe, who earlier in the year won the Jacksonville Labor Day Shootout, stands in third for the Chants after shooting an 81 on the first day of the event.
Jessica Alexander and Taylor Slagle rounded out the Chanticleer participants with scores of 82.
The tournament resumes Monday with the second round of the event.
