AUGUSTA, Ga. - The Coastal Carolina women's golf team sits in fourth place following two rounds of competition at the Administaff Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate from the Forest Hills Golf Club.

The Chanticleers ended day one with an overall score of 595 following rounds of 298 and 297 and trail tournament host Augusta State by 13 strokes entering the final day of competition. Defending national champion Purdue sits in second place with a score of 584, while UTSA is fourth strokes ahead of Coastal with a score of 591.

Junior Kaitlin Higginbotham turned in rounds of 71 and 74 Sunday and is tied for fifth place with an overall score of 145. Sophomore Jessica Alexander finished one stroke behind Higginbotham and carded a 146 (74-72) and is tied for seventh place overall.

Freshman Courtney Boe ended her afternoon tied for 24th place with an overall score of 150 (78-72). Sophomore Brittany Henderson fired a 155 following rounds of 75 and 80 and is tied for 45th place entering round three on Monday.

Senior Alicia Grier rounded out the Coastal quintet with an overall score of 158 (79-79) and is tied for 54th place overall.

The Chanticleers continue their defense of the 2010 Lady Jaguar Intercollegiate championship Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. as the final round kicks off with a shotgun start.
