2011 NCAA Men's Golf Championships Live Scoring/Results
STILLWATER, Okla. - Coastal Carolina Sebastian Soderberg turned in a seven-over 79 in the second round of the NCAA Men's Golf Championships and his two-day total of 156 puts the sophomore in a tie for 117th.
Most in the field of 154 struggled on day two with just 30 players shooting even par of better. The best round came from LSU's John Peterson, who carded a seven-under par and moved from 47th to first with a two-day score of five-under 139 (74-65).
Soderberg's scorecard was cleaner on day two, turning in 11 pars versus just five on day one. However, on day one, he had four birdies and no score above single bogey. Wednesday, Soderberg only had one birdie, getting a four on the 542 par-5 first hole for the second consecutive day, and had two double bogeys for his seven-over 79.
There will be one final round on Thursday to determining the 2011 NCAA Men's Golf medalist.
