2012-13 CCU Women's Golf Season Stats/Results/Record Book 
OXFORD, Miss. - Coastal Carolina won the M&F Bank Rebel Intercollegiate in record fashion on Sunday, closing the tournament with 290 over the final 18 holes of competition. The Chanticleers totaled a school-record 54-hole tally of 863 (-1). Senior Jessica Alexander led Coastal's historic efforts, capturing individual medalist honors with a school-record 8-under 208 score.
The 49th-ranked Chanticleers (284-289-290) led the entire event en route to their nine stroke victory. The tournament win is the Coastal's second this season and the 17th in program history. Twenty-fourth-ranked Baylor (289-293-290=872) claimed runner-up honors followed by No. 20 Tulane (293-286-299=878). East Tennessee State (290-296-295=881) and No. 34 Kentucky (291-302-293=886) rounded out the top five.
"This was a true team victory," said head coach Katie Quinney. "To win this great tournament and break several school records in the process is a wonderful feeling and I believe it is a glimpse at what we are capable of achieving this season. Each of the ladies played great this weekend and I am extremely proud of their collective efforts."
Alexander (70-67-71) captured her second-career tournament with a 1-under 71 over her final round to overtake Baylor's Hayley Davis by a single stroke. Alexander finished each of her rounds under par on the par-72, 6,313-yard Ole Miss Golf Course that played to an average score of 76.28. She led the 96-competitor field with 15 birdies, including one each day on the par-5, 606-yard sixth hole.
Brittany Henderson (69-73-71) placed fourth overall with 3-under 213 tally. She closed the tournament with a 71, marking her second sub-par round of the tournament and the 20th round of par or better of her Chanticleer career. She finished the tournament with nine birdies and 39 pars. Henderson played the par-5s at a combined 5-under.
Freshman Lena Schaeffner (72-75-73) turned in her best performance of her career, tying for 14th overall with a career-low 4-over 220 score. Schaeffner used a 1-over 73 on her final round to climb seven spots up the individual leaderboard. She owned Coastal's only eagle of the tournament, marking down a two on the par-4, 350-yard ninth hole on Sunday.
Frida Castillo (73-74-75) tied for 19th, turning in a three-day score of 6-over 222. Castillo battled back from a pair of double-bogeys to card five birdies on her final round en route to her 3-over 75. Overall, she registered nine birdies and 33 pars over the 54 holes of play.
Marissa Hinchman (74-81-81=236) finished 77th overall. She finished the tournament with six birdies.
The Chanticleers now turn their focus to the 2013 Big South Championship hosted at the Patriot Golf Club in Ninety Six, S.C. The 54-hole tournament gets underway on April 14 and concludes on the 16th.
