Coastal Carolina Baseball Set to Open Springs Brooks Stadium

CONWAY - The Coastal Carolina baseball program will open its new home - Springs Brooks Stadium - this weekend by hosting the seventh annual Caravelle Resort Tournament Feb. 13-17.

The Chanticleers will welcome 2014 NCAA Regional team Old Dominion, projected 2015 NCAA Regional teams Maryland and Canisius and Western Kentucky.

The event begins Friday with Maryland facing Western Kentucky at 11 am. Coastal's first game in Springs Brooks Stadium will be at 4 pm versus Old Dominion. On Saturday, all games will start one hour later due to the forecast of inclement weather. Canisius and Maryland will now start at 11 am, followed by Western Kentucky-Coastal (approximate first pitch 2:30 pm) and Maryland-Old Dominion (approximate first pitch 5 pm. General Information for the 2015 Baseball Season

• Gates to Springs Brooks Stadium open one hour prior to first pitch.
• For the first four weekend tournaments, Coastal will clear Springs Brooks Stadium for each game.
• No outside food or drinks will be allowed in Springs Brooks Stadium.
• Pets are not allowed in Springs Brooks Stadium.
• Coastal Carolina University is a tobacco free campus, which prohibits the use of all forms of tobacco and smoke-related products.
• Umbrellas are not allowed in Springs Brooks Stadium.
• Strollers are not allowed in Springs Brooks Stadium.
• Coastal Carolina will allow re-entry to Springs Brooks Stadium.
• Parking is limited, especially for midweek and Friday games. HOWEVER, Coastal Carolina will close the Teal Lot (between the football and baseball facilities) for midweek and Friday contests. The Teal Lot will open one-and-a-half (1.5) hours prior to Coastal's first pitch. Once open, the Teal Lot parking spaces are available on a first-come basis.
• To assist with the limited parking, Coastal Carolina will utilize a shuttle system, providing free transportation from the new parking lot on Highway 544 (east of the TD Sports Complex) to a drop area that will service both baseball and softball fans. (SEE BELOW FOR SHUTTLE MAP.)
