April 13, 2015 GEORGETOWN - The first round of the 2015 Big South Women's Golf Championship presented by Musco Sports Lighting was officially washed out on Monday due to rain showers and has been reduced to a 36-hole Championship. Scores from today will not count, and the first round has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 7:30am at DeBordieu Golf Club in Georgetown, S.C.
Rain began at 10:20am and play was first suspended at 11:09am. After a 1 hour, 38 minute delay, play resumed with intermittent rain before it turned heavy at approximately 2:00pm, which halted play for a second time. Play was determined finished for the day 45 minutes later and declared a wash out.
Pairings for Tuesday will remain the same as Monday. The 2015 Big South Women's Golf Championship presented by Musco Sports Lighting is free and open to the public, and can be followed online via Golfstat's Live Scoring feature.
