2015 Lady Paladin Invitational Results 
GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina women's golf team opened its 2015-16 season placing 11th at the Lady Paladin Invitational, played at the par 72, 6,266-yard Furman University Golf Club. The Chanticleers were led by senior Bailey Cocca's 39th-place (tied) showing in the 96-competitor field.
Missouri won the 17-team tournament with a 2-over round of 290 on Tuesday and a 54-hole score of 7-over par 871 (293-288-290). Host Furman finished second, carding a three-day total of 15-over par 879 (303-282-294). New Mexico rounded out the top three with a 19-over 883 (291-297-295). The Chanticleers turned in rounds of 305-310-306 for a 54-hole total of 921.
Cocca carded a 2-over 74 during the final 18 holes of the 54-hole tournament en route to finishing the event with a 12-over 228 (78-76-74). Cocca, who started her day on the 10th hole, played her first three holes 2-over, but settled to close her front nine at even-par, including a birdie on 13. She then played her back nine even as she combated two bogeys with two birdies, including one on her 54th and final hole of the tournament.
Malene Krolboll Hansen closed the tournament with a 5-over 77 on Tuesday, totaling a 228 (75-77-77) to finish tied for 43rd overall. She recorded 29 pars and seven birdies thought her three rounds of play.
Marie Lunackova, competing in her first collegiate event, finished tied for 53rd overall. She turned in rounds of 77-79-76 for her 16-over 232 score.
Barbora Bakova and Lena Schaeffner rounded out the Coastal contingent. Bakova tied for 71st, shooting 81-78-79 for a 54-hole total of 238, while Schaeffner turned in rounds of 75-82-82 for a three-day total of 246.
The Chanticleers return to the links on Sept. 28 and 39 for the Missouri-hosted Johnnie Imes Invitational, contested at The Club at Old Hawthorne in Columbia, Mo.
