TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Coastal Carolina senior Lena Schaeffner shot a 1-over 73 on Sunday to finish seventh on the individual leaderboard at the conclusion of the fourth annual Florida State Match-Up at par-72, 6,265-yard Don Veller Seminole Golf Course. Schaeffner's score led the Chanticleers two spots up the team rankings and into sixth at the 12-team event.

Host and 34th-ranked Florida State won the team title at the 54-hole event with a 7-over 871 score. No. 44 South Carolina placed second with an 11-over-over 875 tally, while No. 33 Furman (+26, 890) came in third. Fourth went to No. 38 SMU (+30, 894) and fifth to Texas A&M (+34, 898). Coastal totaled an 899 (+35) score to finish sixth, one stroke ahead of No. 25 Missouri (900), six ahead of No. 18 Tennessee (905) and 20 up on No 19 Virginia (909).

Maddie Szeryk of Texas A&M claimed the individual championship with a 5-under 211 (69-72-70).

Schaeffner placed seventh in the 68-competitor field with a 2-over three-round score of 218 (70-75-73). The top-10 finish marks the 16th in her collegiate career. Schaeffner closed the tournament with a 1-over 73, which featured four birdies and eight pars. The Rettigheim, Germany, native finished the tournament with 12 total birdies and 30 pars.

Barbora Bakova tied for 15th overall after turning in scores of 73-77-73 for a 7-over 223. Bakova's 73 on Sunday counted three birdie putts. The top 20 finish was the junior's second this season.

Malene Krolboll Hansen used rounds of 77-76-73 to post a 10-over 226. Hansen's final day was highlighted by an eagle on the par-5, 476-yard fifth hole along with a pair of birdies.

Marie Lunackova (81-81-74) and Bailey Cocca (77-82-79) totaled event scores of 236 (+20) and 238 (+22), respectively. Lunackova counted two birdies during her final round and Cocca one.

The Chanticleers now turn their focus to the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic hosted at the Kiawah Island Resort -- Osprey Point course on Kiawah Island, S.C. The 54-hole tournament runs Feb. 28-March 1.
