Golfweek Conference Challenge Final Results 
WOLCOTT, Colo. - Coastal Carolina junior Malene Krolboll Hansen finished with a 54-hole, school-record score 207 (9-under par) to win the Golfweek Conference Challenge while Marie Lunackova, with a score of 212, posted the fifth-best, 54-hole score in school history to finish third at the event played at the par 72, 6,262-yard Red Sky Golf Club's Fazio Course.
Coastal shot the low round for the day, a 2-under par 286, which ties for the sixth-best, single-round score in school history, to a finish in ninth-place 886 (300-300-286). The 886 team total marks the 15th-best, three-round score in school history.
San Diego State led after each of the three rounds and won the 18-team field tournament with a score of 866 (287-280-299). Host Denver and Pepperdine tied for second, each carding an 874 while Old Dominion, Washington State and Tennessee each tied for fourth with a score of 881.
Hansen, who was in second place after days one and two, shot the low round of day by two strokes with a 6-under par 68 to win her first tournament as a Chanticleer. She finished with rounds of 70-71-66 for her 9-under 207. Hansen additionally becomes just the third Chanticleer to record three rounds at an event under par, joining Jessica Alexander (April 2013), who previously held the school record with an 8-under par 208, and Aruka Felgueroso (September 2006).
Hansen carded nine birdies Tuesday, with three bogeys, to post her 66, the second-best, 18-hole score in school history. (Hansen owns the CCU single-round scoring record with a 65 last March.) Overall, Hansen had 19 birdies for the 54 holes, which was the best total by four in the 90-person field. She additionally had the best scoring average (3.83) on the par 4's and played the par 4's at a tournament-best 5-under par.
Hansen, who started on hole 10, opened the day with a bogey but finished her front nine with five consecutive birdies. She also had a birdie on hole 3 before dropping a shot on the par-4 4th. She rallied to have birdies on three of her last four holes. Despite a bogey on her final hole, she still won the event by three strokes and set the school record by one.
Lunackova jumped five spots in the standings with her final-round and career-low 3-under par 69, which ties for the fifth-best, single-round total in school history (18th on the CCU low 18 list). She finished -- five strokes behind Hansen, and Lunackova's 54-hole score of 4-under 212 (72-71-69) ties for the fifth-best total in school history. She was second to Hansen on the par 4's with a scoring average of 3.87 and played the par 4's at 4-under par.
Lunackova opened with seven straight pars before her birdie on the par-3 17th hole. However, she gave that shot back on the 18th to make the turn at even par. Lunackova finished with birdies on holes 2, 3 and 8 along with six pars for his 3-under 69.
Barbora Bakova, who shot a 2-over par 74 Wednesday, finished in a tie for 52nd with a score of 228 (76-78-74) thanks to four birdies in the final round.
Victoria Parker finished 81st (82-81-77=240) while Yuki Nakayama was 82nd (83-80-78=241).
The women's program will return to South Carolina and quickly return to action by playing in the Cougar Classic, hosted by the College of Charleston, at Yeamans Hall Club Oct. 2-4.
