Weems Baskin Day 1 Results

Columbia, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's track and field teams completes day one at the Weems Baskins Relays in Columbia, Friday.

Javelin throwers paced the Chanticleers with the highest performances on the day, Robert Castellani finished second with a distance of 55.35m (181 feet and 7 inches) in the men's division, and Morgan Boyle placed third 43.03m (141 feet and 2 inches) and Chloe White, 40.60m (133 feet and 2 inches), was fourth in the women's division.

Samantha Layko threw a distance of 49.54m (162 feet and 6 inches) in the hammer throw to finish seventh.

Marquez Moore improved, his Sun Belt conference leading, long jump distance to 7.29m (23 feet and 11 inches) to finish in seventh.

The Weems Baskins Relays will conclude on Saturday, March 25 in Columbia.
