ORLANDO, Fla. - The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team suffered a 6-1 loss to Furman on Sunday afternoon in a neutral-site match played in Florida.

Coastal took the doubles point to open the match, but fell on all six singles courts.

Furman struck first in doubles, with Cameron Green/Alex Steryous defeating Sebastian Schneider and Zak Talic on the second court.

Vuk Velickovic and Luiz Faria then topped Adam Steryous and Jake Munns, 6-4, on the first court, and the point was clinched at No. 3 where Jose Ortega and Francesco Migliano downed Trevor Croyder/Clarke Wilson.

The third through six singles courts were won by Furman in straight sets. Faria won the first set on the second court, but ultimately fell in three to Green. Velickovic split the first two sets with Steryous on the top court, but could not complete the match in the third set.

Coastal remains in Orlando for its next match against Creighton on Tuesday.
