Greenville, N.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up day one of competition at the Bill Carson Invitational in Greenville, Friday afternoon.
The women's team scored 17 points on the afternoon in the javelin and discus throws.
Caroline Pallini started the scoring, for the Chants, throwing a distance of 38.22m (125 feet, five inches) in the discus.
In the javelin, Morgan Boyle threw a distance of 41.64m (136 feet, seven and three quarters of an inch) to place second, Chloe White followed in third with 39.05m (128 feet, one and three quarters of an inch). Marissa Cain placed seventh with her throw of 32.37m (106 feet, two and three quarters inches).
The men's team scored one point in the hammer throw, Kieran Moore tossed a distance of 48.96m (160 feet, seven and three quarters inches) placing him in eighth the final scoring position. Moore also competed in the discus and finished in tenth with a throw of 42.26m (138 feet, eight inches).
CCU will finish up the Bill Carson Invitational Saturday in Greenville, start time is scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
