JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Looking to build off last week's impressive second place showing at the Lady Paladin Invitational, Coastal Carolina shot a three-over 579 (291-288) and will head into tomorrow's final round leading the Bubba Burger Jacksonville Classic.
Freshman
Jenjira Jinangkul shot an impressive 143 (-1) and that includes a five-under 67 during the second round. Jinangkul's second round finish is the second 67 this fall as teammate
Tiffany Arafi had the same score in earlier competition.
Jinangkul's second round was a bogey-free 18 holes that she had five birdies on. She will go into tomorrow in a four-way tie for first place.
Jinangkul had plenty of help from her teammates.
Marie Lunackova is sitting tied for seventh after shooting a one-over 145 (71-74) during today's first 36 holes. She was one-under in the opening round and shot a two-over 74 in the second 18 holes.
Tiffany Arafi is tied for 17
th after collecting a three-over 147 (73-74) during the first two rounds.
Frantiska Lunackova and
Stephanie Henning had solid rounds as well. Frantiska shot a 75-73 to finish the day with a four-over 148 and is in a tie for 22
nd. Henning shot a six-over 150 (72-78) and will enter the final 18 holes tied for 31
st.
Victoria Parker played as in individual, finishing the day with a 167 (84-83) and will also play the final round in individual play.
The Chants will carry a five-stroke lead into tomorrow's third round with in-state rival College of Charleston in second after carding a 584 (294-290).
Tomorrow's action is set to tee off at 8:30 a.m. and live stats can again be viewed on golfstat with the link being found at goccusports.com.
