Round Two Final Stats
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Coastal Carolina women's golf team shot a four-over 284 in today's second round of the Princess Anne Invitational to move up three spots into fourth place heading into tomorrow's third and final round.
CCU was once again led by
Caitlin Evans-Brand who turned in another sub-par round with a one-under 69. The Plymouth, England native will enter tomorrow's final round in second place with a two-day total of four-under 136.
Her round consisted of three birdies and two bogeys. Her first bogey of the round came on the first hole with her final bogey coming on the par-five 18
th.
Her 136 after 36 holes is the second-best two-day total in program history only behind Malene Krobol Hansen and Jessica Alexander who both had two-round totals of 135. Her four-under score is tied for the fifth-best score in program history after two rounds.
Tiffany Arafi shot an even-par 70 in today's action. The sophomore shot a two-over 37 on the front nine and shot a two-under 33 on the back nine. She has a two-day total of four-over 144 which has her tied for 22nd entering tomorrow's action.
Heidrun Hylnsdottir also turned in a solid performance with her one-over 71. She opened play with a 36 on the front nine and finished with a 35 on the back. Over her first two rounds she is tied in 30
th place with a six-over 146.
Just like the first round, sophomore
Jenjira Jinangkul turned in a 74. She shot a 38 on her first nine holes of the day, but was able to shave two strokes off that score for a 36 on the back nine. She will enter tomorrow's final round tied for 43
rd with her two-day total standing at eight-over 148.
Sophia Carlsen was consistent in her round today, carding a 38 on both the front and back nine for her six-over 76. She has a two-round score of 10-over 150 and finished today's action tied for 53rd.
Virginia Tech continues to lead the event with a three-under 557. LSU is second five shots back with a two-over 562. Chattanooga is just two shots in front of the Chants in third with an 11-over 571.
Behind the Chants and rounding out the top five is Central Florida. They are only three shots back of CCU with a 16-over 576.
