DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team remains in sixth place after shooting a 7-over 295 in today's second round of the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Women's Golf Championship.
CCU's score was eight strokes better than yesterday's round and was the third-best round of the day trailing only tourney leader South Alabama (290) and Arkansas State (294).
Jenjira Jinangkul continues to be the Chants leader, carding a 1-under 71 in the round. She opened the day with eight consecutive pars on her way to a 37 opening nine. She then shot a 2-under 34 on the back nine to card the 71. She stands tied for fifth overall in the event with a 1-over 145 (74-71).
Marie Lunackova shot a 2-over 74 in today's round but ended the day with birdies on two of the last five holes. Her two-day scored of 5-over 149 (75-74) has her entering the final round tied for 18
th.

Frantiska Lunackova also had a solid 2-over 74 in today's round. The sophomore knocked five strokes off of yesterday's round by shooting a 37 on both the front and back nine. She enters the final round tied for 30
th with a 9-over 153 (79-74).
Junior
Alexandra Naumovski shot a solid 4-over 76 in today's round with a 39 on the front nine and a 37 on the back. She finished the day with a two-day score of 11-over 155 and is tied for 37
th.
Tiffany Arafi brought in a 6-over 78 (40-38) in today's round and has a two-day score of 153 (75-78). Her 9-over tally has her tied with teammate
Frantiska Lunackova for 30
th.
South Alabama made the big jump today, moving up three spots to take over the lead heading into the final round. The Jaguars own a 9-over 585 (295-290). Texas State gave up the top spot, but only trails USA by one stroke with a 586 (290-296).
Rounding out the top five are Troy with a 588 (291-297), Georgia Southern with a 589 (291-298) and Arkansas State with a 593 (299-294).
Following the Chants are Appalachian State and Texas Arlington, both with a 610, Louisiana Monroe with a 621, Georgia State with a 625 and Little Rock with a 628.
Tomorrow's final round is scheduled to tee off at 8 a.m. with the Chanticleers grabbing an 8 a.m. tee time off the 1st tee.
