CONWAY - Kurtis Caster was tabbed by head coach
Catherine Hewitt as an assistant coach with the Chanticleers women's tennis team in August 2019.
A USPTA certified teaching professional, Caster previously worked as an assistant pro at Debordieu Colony Tennis Center in Georgetown, S.C. He has supervised junior clinics and taught private lessons to all ages. Caster is a USTA 5.0 rated player.
Prior to teaching and coaching, Caster was a four-year starter at Bloomsburg University where he competed in the #4, #5, and #6 singles spots for the Huskies. During his time as a Huskie, Caster earned all-region honors for doubles play and was a three-time all-conference performer. During his senior year he was named team captain.
Caster played at Williamsport Area High School competing at the #1 singles and doubles all four years. He qualified all four years for states during his high school career and was named a team captain three years.
Caster's brother, Kris, played baseball for the Chanticleers from 1998-2001.
