Round One Scores
MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina women's golf team shot a one-under 287 in today's opening round of the Moon Golf Invitational, but the second round was stopped due to darkness on the course with just a few holes left to play.
The Chanticleers are tied for fifth at even-par, but are only one shot out of first-place with a four-team logjam at the top of the leaderboard.
Only a few teams were able to finish both rounds, but most of the players still had one hole left to play. For CCU,
Tiffany Arafi and
Stephanie Henning will finish out their second round tomorrow beginning at 8:30 a.m., before heading into the third and final round.
The Chants had 21 birdies in the opening 18 holes led by Arafi with six and Henning with five. Arafi has added two more in the second round with her final hole left to play.
Three players were able to finish their opening 36-holes of play with
Frantiska Lunackova and
Caitlin Evans-Brand each shooting one-under 143.
Jenjira Jinangkul also finished her two rounds shooting a three-over 147. The Chants are sitting at one-over in the second round with the final holes left to play.
Seminole State (Fla.), North Carolina, Ole Miss and host Louisville all sit at the top of the leaderboard at one-under while CCU is tied with Alabama at even-par.
