Final Round
MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team completed play at the Moon Golf Invitational with an eighth-place finish after shooting a 302 in today's final round.
The Chants finished the event with a three-round total of 879 (287-290-302) to pick up another top-10 finish during the 2019-20 season, their fourth of the season.
Sophomore
Caitlin Evans-Brand was CCU's top finisher with a two-over 218 (73-70-75). She finished the event tied for 21st.
Frantiska Lunackova was making her first appearance of the season and the junior finished the event tied for 29th with a three-over 219 (71-72-76).
Jenjira Jinangkul finished tied for 48th with her eight-over 224 (72-75-77) and
Tiffany Arafi finished tied for 52nd with a nine-over 225 (71-73-81).
Stephanie Henning had the best round of the day for the Chanticleers shooting a two-over 74 during the final round of action. She finished the event tied for 75th with a 17-over 233 (78-81-74).
Only nine strokes separated the top five teams with Ole Miss winning the event (858). Augusta (861), host Louisville (864) and North Carolina (867) and Alabama (867) rounded out the top five.
Furman (870) and Kentucky (873) finished just ahead of the Chanticleers with UCF (882) and Campbell (885) rounding out the top-10. Seminole State (885), Old Dominion (893), Kennesaw State (901) Kansas (901), Minnesota (906) and Florida Atlantic (909) finished out the field.
Next up for the Chants will be the Florida State Seminole Match Up slated for Feb. 29-March 1 at the Bay Pointe Golf Club located in Panama City, Fla. The event will be hosted by Florida State.
