ELON, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team posted a total of 14 wins on the final day of the Elon Fall Invitational on Sunday at the Jimmy Powell Tennis Center.

The Chants swept all four doubles match versus Richmond in the first session of the day.

The Chants picked up wins from the  pair of Victoire De Samucewicz and Paola Landin Lopez who won their match 8-6 over Emily Dunbar and Sara Salemyr at the No. 1 spot, while the duo of Megan Hopton and Jesse Hollins earned an 8-3 win over Marta Buendia and Helene Heiberg on court No. 2.

Also winning for the Chants was the tandem of Valentina Urelli and Anna Babayan who earned an 8-4 win over the number three pair of the Spiders, while the sophomore duo of Mathilde Tranberg and Isabella Weatherhead picked up an 8-4 win over Shauna Galvin and Sarah Allen of Elon.

Next up was singles action for the Chants, who took on UNCG for the second-straight day.

The Chants picked up wins from Landin Lopez on court No. 4 where she earned a 6-2, 6-3, straight-set victory over Juliana Craft. Hopton would follow with a 6-0, 6-3 decision over Olivia Gallagher of the Spartans.

CCU also got wins from freshman Babayan who won 6-0, 6-3 over Eugenia Camacho on court six, while both Hollins and Weatherhead earned straight-set wins on courts seven and eight.

Rounding out the weekend, the Chants battled Elon in singles play. Coastal secured wins from Hopton who won in straight sets by a similar score of 6-3, 6-3 over Victoria Saldh of Elon, while Babayan would follow with a 6-2, 6-2 straight-set victory over Galvin.

On court No. 5, Hollins earned a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Olivia Archer of Elon.

Finishing off the second session of singles action, the Chants picked up wins on courts two and four from Tranberg and Landin Lopez.
