CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team continued its winning ways at the Lynn Stevens Tennis Complex this season, as the Chanticleers moved to 6-0 at home on the year with a 4-1 win over the College of Charleston on Wednesday afternoon.

With the win, the Chants improve to 9-3 on the year, while the loss drops CofC to 6-9 overall for the season.

Coastal jumped out to a 1-0 lead by picking up identical 6-1 wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions. The team of Kristyna Jurkova and Victoire De Samucewicz defeated Anastasia Palaska and Slade Coetzee on court No. 2, while the freshmen duo of Mathilde Tranberg and Jesse Hollins took the victory at the No. 3 spot.

The Chants added to their match lead with a 6-0, 6-3 straight-set win at No. 6 in singles play by Valentina Urelli before CofC picked up its lone win of the day at 6-0, 6-3 at the No. 2 flight.

With the match at 2-1 in favor of the home-standing Chants, CCU picked up a 6-2, 6-2 straight-set win at No. 1 from senior Somer Dalla-Bona and then sealed the match win with a 6-3, 6-3 victory on court No. 4 by first-year Chant De Samucewicz.

Both Jurkova's (6-7, 6-3, 1-0) and Hollins' (7-6, 1-6, 1-2) matches were in the third set when the match was decided.

The Chanticleers (9-3) will hit the road for a pair of Sun Belt Conference matches this weekend versus Georgia State on Friday (March 26) and Georgia Southern on Saturday (Mach 27).
