CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team posted consecutive 5-0 victories over Carson-Newman on Sunday afternoon as the Chanticleers played their final home matches of the 2021 season at the CCU Beach Volleyball Complex.

Coastal improves to 14-4 with Sunday's wins. Following the second dual, the team recognized the two members of its senior class in Kalin Eske and Kendra Lukacs who were playing in their final home matches as Chanticleers.
 
Match 1: Coastal Carolina 5, Carson-Newman 0

The Chants jumped out to a 1-0 lead as the senior duo of Eske and Lukacs turned in wins of 21-7, 21-12 over Lauren Williams and Alanis Mendez on court five. On court four, the pair of Carli Ginther and Ellie Hanford won 21-11, 21-14 over Morgan Siwiec and Joy Rhodes for a 2-0 CCU advantage. 
 
Coastal's Madison Allred and Sarlota Svobodova clinched the match win at 3-0 on court two with a 21-12, 21-8 sweep of Abby Struewing and Sierra Still. 

On court No. 1, CCU's Lucy Campbell and Martine Kragholm won their first match in straight sets 21-14, 21-15 over Summer Coulter and Megan Oldenburger. 
 
The Chanticleers earned the match sweep as the duo of Sarah Riedell and Emma Gonzalez defeated Lindsey Geurin and Mia Toribio in three sets 19-21, 22-20, 15-12 on the third court.
 
Match 2: Coastal Carolina 5, Carson-Newman 0

Using the same lineup as in match one, Coastal got the same 5-0 result as Ginther and Hanford earned the 21-10, 21-5 win over Siwiec and Rhodes to put CCU up 1-0 on court four. The senior pair of Eske and Lukacs made it 2-0 for the CCU as the duo defeated Alyssa Johnson and Piper Halcrow 21-11, 21-9 on court No. 5. 
 
The Chants' pair on of Kragholm and Campbell earned their second straight-set win of the day on court one by beating Coulter and Oldenburger 21-12, 21-13 to clinch the win at 3-0 while on court two Allred and Svobodova pushed the CCU advantage to 4-0 with a 21-9, 21-15 victory. 
 
On court No. 3, CCU's Riedell and Gonzalez closed out the 5-0 sweep with a 21-11, 21-17 win over Geurin and Toribio.
 
Coastal heads to Jacksonville for a pair of matches on Wednesday, April 7. The doubleheader is slated to begin at noon ET.
