Conway, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team will head to the Peach State for a midweek one-day tournament with the Georgia State Day of Duals on Wednesday, March 10. The Chanticleers will play one match each versus No. 18 Georgia State, Chattanooga, and Mercer.
Last time out, Coastal split opening weekend going 2-2 at the Coastal Carolina Invitational with victories over in-state rival College of Charleston 4-1 for a second consecutive time and a sweep of the UNCW Seahawks 5-0 on the final day of the Invitational.
The Chanticleers were led by the No. 4 flight of
Carli Ginther and
Emma Gonzalez, who went 3-1 on the weekend with wins against No. 16 Stetson, College of Charleston, and UNCW.
The No. 5 flight of veteran
Kalin Eske and graduate transfer
Kendra Lukacs also went 3-1 on opening weekend with wins against No. 16 Stetson, College of Charleston, and UNC Wilmington.
The Georgia State Panthers enter this weekend's action with a 4-4 record having beaten No. 11 FAU and Houston Baptist 4-1, respectively, last weekend at the Tiger Beach Challenge hosted by LSU.
The Mercer Bears enter the midweek action with a 4-4 record having played at the Tampa Invitational last week, while the Chattanooga Mocs will hit the sand for the first team this spring on Wednesday afternoon.
