CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina men's tennis head coach
Chris Powers has released the 2021 fall schedule as the Chanticleers will play in five events, including hosting the CCU Team Invite on Oct. 8-10 at the Delan and Lynn Stevens Tennis Complex.
"Our goal this fall season is to play as many matches as possible and I think this schedule will present that opportunity. It is a very active fall season with a ton of looks against teams that we will play in the spring as well," stated Powers. "There will be a real focus on physical preparation early in the semester to prepare for a busy October, and I am excited to see our guys build toughness and confidence. The 2022 spring match schedule is much tougher than last season, and we will also return to a full Sun Belt Conference schedule as well, so this fall season is going to be massive in terms of that preparation."
The Chanticleers will start the fall slate with a Black vs. Teal Intrasquad matchup on Sept. 10-11 at the Stevens Tennis Complex before hitting the road to compete at the CofC Team Invite hosted by the College of Charleston on Sept. 24-26.
CCU will then return home to host the CCU Team Invite on Oct. 8-10 before returning to the court two weeks later at the ITA Carolina Regionals held on Oct. 22-26 in Cary, N.C.
The Chants will conclude their 2021 fall slate on Oct. 29-31 at the UNCW Team Invite in Wilmington, N.C.
