VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Play was continued today at the Evie Odom Invitational with the Chanticleers standing 11th after completion of the first and second round action. The Chants shot a 32-over 592 through the first two rounds, including a seven-over 287 in second-round action.
 
After suspending play in the first round and missing all of yesterday due to Hurricane Ian, the first round was completed earlier in the day which led directly into the second round.
 
Sara Sarrion is leading the Chanticleers and stands 10th at eight-over 148 (77-71). Luisa Gibson had the best round of the day with an even-par 70 in the second round. She is tied for 43rd with a nine-over 149 (79-70). She is tied with teammate Sophia Carlsen, who has also carded a nine-over 149 (74-75).
 
Tiffany Arafi is tied for 50th at 10-over 150 (79-71). Maika Llarena is tied for 71st after scoring a 15-over 155 (75-80).
 
The College of Charleston holds the lead after two rounds at five-over 565. Only 14 strokes separate teams two through 10, led by Penn State at 14-over 574. Sacramento State is third at 15-over 575, while East Carolina and Princeton are tied for fourth with a 16-over 576.
 
James Madison (+17, 577), South Florida (+19, 579), Minnesota (+22, 585), Minnesota (+25, 585), and Indiana (+28, 588) round out the top-10.
 
CCU (+32, 592) leads the rest of the field followed by Old Dominion (+33, 593), Charlotte (+36, 596), North Florida (+42, 602), and High Point (+53, 513).
