JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina University women's golf team finished sixth at the Sea Best Intercollegiate after shooting a three-round total of 934 (314-310-310) over two days of play at the San Jose County Club.
The course proved to be a challenge over all three rounds as evidenced by none of the 18 participating teams being able to shoot below par.

Sophia Carlsen had the best score for the Chanticleers, finishing the three rounds with a 17-over 233 (77-80-76) and in a tie for 18th.
Caitlin Evans-Brand was CCU's second scorer with a 19-over 235 (76-75-84). She finished tied for 27th.
Tiffany Arafi shot a 20-over 236 (80-79-77) to finish tied for 20th, while
Sara Sarrion finished tied for 33rd after finishing the tournament with a 21-over 237 (81-79-77).
Jenjira Jinangkul shot a 29-over 245 (88-77-80) to finish 58th.
The top five teams in front of CCU were Campbell (897), East Carolina (916), USC Upstate (916), Seminole State (922), and Lipscomb (929).
FIU finished in seventh behind the Chants with a 940 while Houston Baptist (942), Georgetown (951), and Jacksonville (954) rounded out the top-10.
Charleston Southern (956) finished 11th, followed by Navy (967), UNCG (972), Butler (981), Cincinnati (963), Dixie State (994), Towson (1,006), and Tennessee Tech (1,008).
Next up for the Chanticleers will be the annual trip to Tallahassee, Fla., for the Florida State Match Up. The event is scheduled for Feb. 25-27 at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club.
