TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Coastal Carolina women's golf team shot a 15-over 303 in Sunday's final round of the FSU Match-Up, finishing ninth overall with a 49-over 913 (311-299-303).
Sara Sarrion made the largest jump of the day after shooting a two-under par 70. The freshman started the day in a tie for 42
nd, but her under-par round jumped her up 22 spots to finish the event tied for 20th with an eight-over 224 (80-74-70).
Caitlin Evans-Brand also had a solid event finishing with a 10-over 226 (75-74-77) to finish tied for 26th.
Sophia Carlsen also made a move today moving up 12 spots to finish tied for 41st after carding a three-over 75 in Sunday's final round. She finished with a 16-over 232.
Jenjira Jinangkul finished 54th after totaling a 19-over 235 (78-73-84) and
Tiffany Arafi finished 66th after a 24-over 240 (79-80-81).
Third-ranked Oregon maintained their position at the top of the leaderboard to finish the event with a three-day total of 861. Host Florida State was 14 strokes back in second with an 875. Virginia Tech (886), Arizona (894), and Oregon State (897) completed the top-five finishers.
Kent State (898) finished one stroke out of the top five with Miami (899) just one stroke behind Kent State in seventh. Clemson State's 912 was just one stroke better than Coastal and Mercer was 10th finishing with a 916. Missouri (921) and MTSU (929) rounded out the field.
CCU will be back in action March 7-8 at the River Landing Classic hosted by UNCW at the River Landing Country Club just up the road in Wallace, N.C.
