MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Due to the inclement wet, windy, and cold weather conditions in the Myrtle Beach area on Saturday, March 12, the Coastal Carolina men's and women's outdoor track & field teams did not compete on day two of the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge.
"The health and safety of our student-athletes is our number one priority," stated
Sandy Fowler, Director of Track & Field and Cross Country. "We have other meets ahead of us this season and do not want to get anybody hurt this weekend in our first outdoor meet."
The Chanticleer track & field teams will remain at home to compete in the
Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational next weekend, March 18-19, at Doug Shaw Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
