Box Score CONWAY, S.C. – For the second time in a week, two former Big South foes – Coastal Carolina and Campbell – met on the court, this time in women's tennis action where the Chanticleers prevailed over the Fighting Camels 4-3.
 
In doubles play, the Chants started off strong with a pair of victories.  Jesse Hollins and reigning Sun Belt Player of the Week Victoire De Samucewicz notched a 6-0 win over Marissa Pennings and Mialy Ranaivo on court two.  Not long after that, Mathilde Tranberg and Paola Landin Lopez defeated Rhona Cook and Anna-Marie Kopecka by a 6-2 margin on court one, claiming the doubles point for the home side.
 
When the match flipped over to singles play, the Chanticleers maintained the momentum with wins in two of the first three matches.
 
De Samucewicz notched a straight-set victory 6-3, 6-1 in the top flight over Rhona Cook.
 
On court six, sophomore Jesse Hollins fell behind by a set and trailed Kopecka 4-1 in the second frame.  Then, Hollins caught fire and rattled off 11 points in a row to pick up the three-set triumph 1-6, 6-4, 6-0, which gave CCU a 3-1 lead at that juncture of the contest.
 
Valentina Urelli tallied the clinching point with a 7-5, 5-7, 6-4 win on court five against Mariana Ossa.
 
Next up for the Chants (4-4) is a road match against UNC Wilmington on Saturday, March 5, at 10 a.m. ET.
