CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina baseball team will continue its road trip this Wednesday night, March 30, for a midweek tilt on the road at Wake Forest. First pitch is set for 4 p.m. ET and will air on the ACC Network and ESPN+. The game will also be carried on the radio at Hank 105.5 FM.
ABOUT THE CHANTS
• Coastal Carolina enters Wednesday's contest at 13-9-1 overall and 2-3-1 in Sun Belt Conference play.
• The Chanticleers are in the midst of an eight-game road trip and have gone 2-2 over the first four games of the road swing with a win at then-No. 20 Clemson (March 22) and one win at then-No. 9 Texas State (March 26).
• Since defeating Wake Forest on March 8, the Chanticleers have gone 5-4-1 overall with two wins coming on the road.
• The CCU offense is hitting .285 with 145 runs scored so far this season, including driving in 131 RBIs overall.
• Over the last two weeks of play, the Chanticleers offense has hit .309 with 12 home runs, a triple, seven doubles, 62 RBIs, and 64 runs scored.

ABOUT THE DEMON DEACONS
• Wake Forest enters the midweek contest at 18-6 overall and 15-4 at home this season.
• The Demon Deacons started the season off at 11-0 before suffering a road loss to the Chanticleers on March 8.
• Since the loss at Coastal, the Demon Deacons have gone 7-5 and are coming off a series loss at home versus nationally-ranked Virginia last weekend (March 25-27).
• Wake's offense ranks in the top-20 nationally in base on balls (third), home runs (7th), runs (7th), scoring (8th), on-base percentage (8th), hits, (14th), slugging percentage (15th), and batting average (17th).
ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY
• Coastal Carolina holds a 27-16 advantage in the all-time series with the Demon Deacons, which dates back to 1977.
• After not playing from 1987 to 2006, the two teams have played each other every year since minus the 2012 season.
• Coastal has won eight-straight games over Wake Forest after the Deacs swept the two-game regular-season series in 2017.
• The Chanticleers' longest winning streak over the Demon Deacons is eight consecutive wins which they have done twice - from April 8, 2009, to March 31, 2015, and the current streak which started March 7, 2018.
ROAD GAUNTLET
• With Tuesday's road contest at Clemson (March 22) last week, the Chanticleers opened up an eight-game road trip which will see Coastal play at Clemson, Texas State (March 25-27), Wake Forest (March 30), and Arkansas State (April 1-3).
• The Chanticleers are 2-6 on the road so far this season and 2-2 on the current road trip with a 16-7 win over the No. 20 Tigers on Tuesday and a 7-5 victory at Texas State on Saturday.
MIDWEEK MATCHUPS
• Coastal Carolina is 2-1 in midweek action this season.
• The Chanticleers, who played Monday afternoon games over the first two weeks of the season as part of two weekend tournaments, suffered a 9-4 road loss at UNCW (March 2). Since then, the Chants picked up a 4-3 win in midweek action over then-No. 30 Wake Forest (March 8) and a 16-7 win at then-No. 20 Clemson (March 22) last week.
CCU VS. ACC
• The Chants are 2-3 versus teams out of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) thus far this season, having suffered a three-game weekend series sweep to nationally-ranked North Carolina (March 4-6) before posting midweek wins over then-No. 30 Wake Forest (March 8) and then-No. 20 Clemson (March 22).
• Following this week's game, CCU is slated to play one more game versus the ACC, hosting Clemson on May 17 for another midweek showdown.
CHANT POWER
• After hitting just nine home runs as a team over the first 13 games of the season, Coastal's bats have begun to flex their muscles as of late by hitting 17 home runs over the last 10 games.
• Over that span, the Chanticleers have hit two home runs or more in seven of those contests, including tying a season-high three home runs last time out at Texas State (March 27).
• The Chants are a combined 10-5-1 when hitting at least one home run for the contest and just 3-4 on the season when not hitting a home run at all in the game.

• Coastal as a team has driven in 150 RBIs over the first 23 games of the season.

• The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers took a perfect game into the eighth inning and had a no-hitter up until the ninth inning in a 4-3 win over the No. 30 nationally-ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Tuesday night, March 8, at Springs Brooks Stadium.
• CCU's pitching staff held the Wake Forest offense, which entered the game ranked first in the nation in batting average (.381), second nationally in both hits (151) and home runs (27), and third overall in runs scored (134), hitless for the first eight innings of the midweek contest.
