Chapel Hill, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team continued its run in the ITA Carolina Regionals in Chapel Hill, N.C. today in the round of 16 main draw of singles and doubles. 

After an opening round of qualifying singles and the main draw of doubles yesterday, the Lady Chants entered the top-half of the A1 and A2 singles bracket today, starting with Jesse Hollins and Anna Babayan against a pair of ACC opponents. 

Both Hollins and Babayan fell short of the quarterfinals, losing to Duke's Emma Jackson 6-3, 6-1 and Clemson's Cristina Mayorova 6-1, 6-4, respectively. 

Hollins and Babayan remain in the A1 and A2 singles bracket and will feature in tomorrow's consolation rounds. 

In what became CCU's final match of day two, the Lady Chants competed in the round of 16 in the main draw of doubles play. After an opening round victory over UNC Wilmington, Senior Kata Foldeak and freshman Aida Maria Mitrache also fell short of the quarterfinals, losing to Furman's Sara Isabel Synder and Maeve Thornton 8-2. 

Day three of the ITA Carolina Regionals from Chapel Hill, N.C. will start tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. ET, with Hollins and Babayan in the singles consolation bracket.
