CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina head softball coach Kelley Green announced the 2024 softball schedule on Monday. The schedule includes four non-conference tournaments and 36 home games to be played at St. John Stadium.

"The schedule this year was done intentionally with RPI in mind, to put ourselves in a strong position for a postseason bid," stated Green. "Along with playing in one of the top conferences in the country, our schedule is filled with Power 5 opponents along with many teams that participated in the NCAA tournament last year. We feel this team is ready and excited for the challenge and can't wait to get started."

Coastal will kick off the season at home as they welcome Syracuse, George Washington, Bucknell, and Campbell for the Kickin' Chicken Classic on Feb. 9-11.

The Chants will then head to Leesburg, Fla., on Feb. 16-18 to take on Ohio State, Penn State, Liberty, Iowa, and Illinois in the Spring Games before traveling to Charleston, S.C., to face College of Charleston on Feb. 21.

CCU will head back to Conway, S.C., to host back-to-back tournaments at St. John Stadium. First up will be the Battle at the Beach where they will be joined by Louisville, Bowling Green, and Furman on Feb. 23-25. This will be followed by the Chanticleer Showdown on March 1-3 where they will host Michigan State, Iona, Oakland, and Yale.

A trip to North Carolina to face UNC Wilmington on March 6 will break up tournament play before they return to start a 10-game home stand where they will play Ohio, George Mason, and Boston in the Beach Chicken Brawl on March 8-10. CCU will then open up conference play in a three-game series versus Troy on March 15-17 along with a non-conference contest with Georgia Tech on March 20.

Coach Green's squad will hit the road for six-game stretch where they will play a three-game series versus Louisiana on March 22-24 followed by another road conference series versus Georgia Southern on March 30.

The Chants then have another spell of home contests starting with a midweek tilt versus CofC on April 3 and a three-game series against Southern Miss on April 5-7. This will be followed by a doubleheader versus Charleston Southern on April 10 and a conference series versus App State on April 12-14.

After a midweek road contest versus Charlotte on April 17, the Chants will face Marshall in a three-game Sun Belt series on April 19-21 before turning around to host Georgia State in their last home series of the year on April 26-28.

CCU will conclude the regular season on the road in Harrisburg, Va., versus the James Madison Dukes on May 2-4.

The 2024 Sun Belt Championship Tournament will be hosted by Texas State at the Bobcat Softball Stadium in San Marcos, Texas from May 8-11.
