CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina men's tennis team made it two-for-two on the weekend and pushed its winning streak to three in a row with a 4-1 win over the Longwood Lancers on Sunday at the Stevens Tennis Complex in Conway, S.C.
 
With a shake-up in the teams for doubles play, the Chanticleers were able to earn the point with wins on courts No. 2 and No. 3.
 
CCU's duo of Guilherme Toresan and Neil O'Connor cruised to a 6-2 win over Ryan Foster and Alejandro Uribe on court No. 3, while the tandem of Steve Mundt and Lucas Wayenburg doubled up Longwood's Yoav Weinberg and Timeo Puech 6-3 on court No. 2 to win the point.
 
The match on court No. 1 would go unfinished, as Carlos Berna Ruiz and Maj Tomac led the bout 5-3 over Longwood's Luis Reis and Guillermo Cagigas when the point was decided.
 
After Longwood tied the match up at 1-1 with a win on court No. 2, the Chants ran off three straight wins to pull away for the 4-1 match victory.
 
The run of wins started with a 6-2, 6-1 straight-set win by Jesus Garcia over Reis on court No. 5 to put the home team back on top 2-1 in the match.
 
Coastal's Berna Ruiz followed with a 6-2, 7-5 victory on court No. 1 over Cagigas of Longwood, while Toresan ended the match with a 7-6 (8-6), 6-1 win over Lukas Krause on court No. 4.
 
The matches on courts No. 3 and 6 would go unfinished in the third sets.
 
The Chanticleers (8-2) will hit the road for a non-conference contest at North Florida on Tuesday, March 7. The first serve is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET.
