ABOUT THE CHANTS
• Coastal Carolina is 18-7 overall this season and has won four-straight games entering Tuesday night's contest at Clemson.
• CCU has won each of its first four games on the current five-game road trip and is coming off a 3-0 series sweep over Georgia State Panthers in Sun Belt play.
• The Chanticleers are 6-2 in road games this season, which includes a midweek road win at then-No. 13 North Carolina (March 28) last week.
• In the Chants' 18 wins this season, they have scored double-digit runs in 15 of them and are averaging 13.1 runs per game over their 18 victories to date.
• As a team, the Chants are hitting .330 overall, which leads the Sun Belt and ranks sixth in all of NCAA Division I baseball, as 11 different players are hitting over .300 on the season.
• The offense is also first in the Sun Belt and ranks third nationally in scoring (10.6), fourth in on-base percentage (.442), sixth in hit-by-pitch (67), and 14th in doubles (66).
• CCU's pitching staff has struck out 276 batters compared to just 119 walks on the year and leads the Sun Belt with an average of 11.1 strikeouts per nine innings.
ABOUT THE TIGERS
• Clemson enters the midweek contest at 16-13 overall and 2-7 in ACC play.
• Under new head coach Erik Bakich, the Tigers have dropped five of their last seven games but are 13-8 overall at home this year.
• The Tigers have fared well in midweek play this year, as Clemson is 7-1 overall in midweek contests, with the lone loss coming in Greenville, S.C., versus USC Upstate (Feb. 28).
• Offensively, the Tigers are hitting .290 as a team with 26 home runs, six triples, 57 doubles, and 180 RBIs.
• Clemson has done most of its work on the base paths, as the Tigers have stolen 56 bases this season, 43 more than they have allowed this year.
• The Clemson pitching staff has posted a 4.88 ERA this season and has held their opponents to a .265 batting average.
• The Tigers' arms have struck out 289 hitters compared to 120 walks over 258.1 innings this season and have 13 different pitchers with double-digit strikeouts.
ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY WITH CLEMSON
• Clemson holds a decisive 47-12 advantage over Coastal in the all-time series.
• However, the times are changing, as the Chants have won four of the last 10 meetings and are riding a two-game winning streak over the Tigers, having swept the home-and-home series last year.
• In fact, last season the Chants outscored the Tigers 33-9 in the two wins, a 16-7 win at Clemson (March 22) and a 17-2 win at home in Conway (May 17).

• For the first time this season, the Chanticleers were ranked in a national top-25 poll on March 27.
• Coastal came in at No. 19 in the D1Baseball Top 25 Rankings and in at No. 28 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) NCAA Division I poll last week.
• This week, the Chants are in all six polls - No. 17 (D1Baseball), No. 20 (Perfect Game), No. 20 (NCBWA), No. 21 (USA TODAY Sports coaches poll), No. 22 (Baseball America), and No. 27 (Collegiate Baseball).
GIVE ME FIVE
• The midweek matchup at Clemson (April 4) will be the last of five consecutive road games for the Chanticleers over the past two weeks.
• The five-game road swing, which is tied for the longest of the season for the Chants, included stops at North Carolina (March 28), Georgia State (March 31-April 2), and now Clemson (April 4).
• Coastal is a perfect 4-0 on the current road trip, which includes three come-from-behind wins.
VERSUS THE ACC
• CCU's matchup with Clemson will mark the fourth of four Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opponents that the Chanticleers will take on this season.
• Coastal played NC State out of the ACC in a midweek contest on Feb. 22, fellow ACC member Wake Forest on March 7, and the North Carolina Tar Heels on March 28.
• The Chants are also scheduled to play one more game versus Wake Forest (April 25), another one versus Clemson (May 10), and one more contest with North Carolina (May 16).
• Entering Tuesday's tilt, Coastal is 2-1 versus the ACC this season with a 16-4 loss to NC State (Feb. 22), a 13-11 win over Wake Forest (March 7), and a 12-7 victory at North Carolina (March 28).
VERSUS RANKED TEAMS
• Coastal has played four nationally-ranked top-25 teams so far this season in No. 21 NC State (Feb. 22), No. 2/5 Wake Forest (March 7), No. 19 Campbell (March 14), and No. 13 North Carolina (March 28).
• The Chanticleers are 3-1 versus top 25 ranked teams this season.
• Coastal suffered a 16-5 midweek home loss to then-No. 21 NC State on Feb. 22 at Springs Brooks Stadium, but since then has won each of its last three games versus ranked foes.
• CCU won a wild one by the score of 13-11 in a midweek home contest versus then-No. 2/5 Wake Forest on March 7 at Springs Brooks Stadium.
• The Chants outslugged then-No. 19 Campbell 12-9 on March 14 in a game that saw a combined seven home runs leave the ballpark.
• Just last week, the Chanticleers scored eight runs in the top of the eighth inning to record a 12-7 come-from-behind win on the road at No. 13 North Carolina in midweek action on March 28.
COMEBACK CHANTS
• Over the last week of play, the Chanticleers have been the comeback kids.
• During the current four-game winning streak, Coastal recorded come-from-behind wins at North Carolina (March 28) and a pair of comeback wins in back-to-back victories at Georgia State (April 1 & 2).
• In CCU's 12-7 win at North Carolina (March 28), the Chants scored eight runs in the eighth inning to come back from a 7-4 deficit after seven innings of play.
• Coastal erased an 8-0 deficit with three runs in the fourth, sixth in the six, and one more in the ninth inning in a 10-8 come-from-behind win over Georgia State (April 1) in game two of the three-game SBC series.
• The next day, in the series finale, the Chants trailed 6-3 to the Panthers (April 2) going into the ninth inning and scored the final five runs of the game to win 8-6 in 10 innings to complete the three-game series sweep.
