CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's beach volleyball team wrapped up the Coastal Carolina Invitational in Conway, S.C., on Saturday afternoon by going 2-0 on the day.
 
The Chants knocked off the Southeastern Louisiana Lions 4-1 and followed that up with a 5-0 sweep over the Flying Fleet of Erskine College.
 
With the two wins, Coastal Carolina moved to 20-9 overall on the season.
 
Match 1: Coastal Carolina 4, Southeastern Louisiana 1
In Coastal's first match, the team of Raychel Ehlers and Madison Allred staked the Chants to the 1-0 lead with a 21-17, 21-11 straight-set win over Harlee Tupper and Alexis Logarbo on court No. 4, while the tandem of Emma Gonzalez and Irena Drobnjak dispatched Mabry Ward and Ysabella Lockwood in straight sets 21-15, 21-12 on court No. 5 for the 2-0 advantage.
 
On court No. 2, Coastal's Sarlota Svobodova and Madie Lichty clinched the match at 3-0 for the Sandy Chants with a 21-17, 23-21 win over Carly Petty and Mia McKinney.
 
CCU's Sarah Riedell and Martine Kragholm increased the lead to 4-0, as the duo defeated Jolie Hidalgo and Meagan Scuderi 21-17, 21-19 on court No. 1.
 
However, the Lions spoiled the Chants' shutout bid with a three-set win on court No. 3 as Jackie McGee and Eryn Wilks won 24-22, 21-23, 15-13 over Elena Sanchez and Ellie Hanford for the 4-1 margin.
 
Match 2: Coastal Carolina 5, Erskine 0
In their final match of the Coastal Carolina Invitational, the Sandy Chants swept the Flying Fleet 5-0.
 
Once again, CCU raced out to the early 1-0 lead, as the tandem of Drobnjak and Gonzalez took down M.J. Cackett and Allison Carter 21-14, 21-13 on court No. 5.
 
The Chants increased their lead to 2-0 with a win on court No. 4, as the team of Hanford and Sanchez won 21-18, 21-13 for the straight-set win over Grace Schneider and Maisy Garner.
 
Coastal's Lichty and Svobodova again clinched the match at 3-0 with a 21-8, 21-14 straight-set win over Karina Petrovich and Kylie McKean on court No. 2.
 
Over on court No. 3, Allred and Ehlers gave the Chants a 4-0 advantage with a 21-13, 21-18 win over Sam Bebber and Alyssa Pagan.
 
CCU's Kragholm and Riedell finished the sweep by defeating Olivia Browne and Morgan Browne 21-17, 21-18 on court No. 1 to end the match at 5-0.
 
The Sandy Chants wrap up the regular season at the Palmetto Invitational in Columbia, S.C., on April 14-15, versus Jacksonville, host South Carolina, FGCU, and Charleston.
