COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina women's indoor track and field team concluded competition of the second and final day of the Carolina Challenge today, closing out their account in Columbia, S.C. for the 2024 spring season.
Yesterday, Coastal finished the day with two first-place finishes with freshman Erin McQuitty placing atop the leaderboard in the women's 3000m and senior Kynnedy Dennis taking first in the women's pole vault.
Today, the Chants took home five top-place finishes, once again including McQuitty and Dennis in their respective events, but also featuring junior Zayna Fray-Samuel in the women's weight throw, sophomore Claire Spiller in the women's triple jump and redshirt-junior Ellie Wolski in the women's 3000m finals. In total, Coastal recorded 34 top-10 finishes across 15 different events, and 53 for the two-day meet.
Following a dominant performance on the final day of the Carolina Challenge, the Chants subsequent meet remains in the state of South Carolina, as they travel to Clemson, S.C. for the Bob Pollock Invitational on Jan. 26-27.
