Durham, N.C. – Coastal Carolina women's tennis student-athlete Aida Maria Mitrache won the flight A singles title at the North Carolina Central Invitational in Durham, N.C.

The doubles pairing of Katya Hersh and Brooke Rogers reached the final of the doubles draw, falling just short to UNCW, 7-5.

• Mitrache won four singles matches to claim victory in the flight A singles bracket. The sophomore went the distance in two matches, highlighted by a 13-11 third-set win in the semifinals versus HU.
• Hersh and Rogers defeated pairings from NCCU (6-3) and UNCW (6-2) en route to the doubles final.
• The Chants posted a 6-3 singles record and went 3-2 in doubles play over the weekend.
• Four Chants made the quarterfinals of their respective singles draws.
