ELON, N.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team posted an 11-8 record on day one of the Elon Fall Invitational in Elon, N.C., on Friday.

The Chants kicked off the day with a round of doubles versus the Elon Pheonix. Coastal then played a round of singles versus a mixed team of Liberty and Queens and a second round of singles versus Appalachian State.

• The Chanticleers rallied back after a slow start to post a 7-1 record in the first round of singles play versus a combined Liberty and Queens team. The round was highlighted by 6-1, 6-0 wins from Nicole Abel and Sarah Clark.
• Freshman Paula Cabrer went the distance beating Zoe Cvitanovic of Queen in a three set thriller, 0-6, 6-3, 1-0 (8)
• Brunelle Kouam, Cabrer, Katya Hersh, and Brooke Rogers all went undefeated at the 2-0 mark in singles action.
• The Chants clinched a 4-3 win over App State in the second round of singles action.
• Rogers led the Chants with a comfortable 6-1, 6-2 win over the Mountaineers' Cassidy Carlson.
