CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina returns to action on Tuesday, Feb. 20, as the Chants host regional rival UNCW at Springs Brooks Stadium for a non-conference midweek contest.
 
The Chanticleers look to rebound after dropping a pair of games at the Baseball at the Beach tournament last weekend.

ABOUT THE CHANTS
• Coastal Carolina is 1-2 overall this season after dropping two of three games on Opening Weekend.
 
• On Opening Day, the Chants exploded for 26 runs on 15 hits. CCU capitalized on two walks and five hit batters. Derek Bender and Jake Books each hit grand slams, while Zach Beach added a solo bomb.
 
• Coastal Carolina's Riley Eikhoff got CCU off to a strong start as the right-handed pitcher went 6.0 innings on Opening Day without allowing a hit and striking out three George Mason hitters.
 
• A total of 14 newcomers saw action in the three-day tournament, highlighted by Sam Antonacci, who was 4-of-12 at the plate and drove in three runs.
 
ABOUT THE SEAHAWKS
• The defending Colonial Athletic Association champion, UNCW enters the week with a 2-1 record.
 
• The Seahawks claimed an Opening Day win with a 7-2 victory over Kent State before falling on day two 8-2. UNCW rebounded with three home runs for an 8-3 series win.
 
• UNCW is hitting .237 on the year and has driven in 15 runs with five home runs. The Seahawks have totaled four doubles in the three games to date.
 
• RJ Sales leads the UNCW pitching staff with a 1.59 ERA as the junior right-hander went 5.2 innings and allowed one run while striking out eight batters.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY WITH UNCW
• Coastal leads the all time series 66-39 and holds a 39-15 home advantage in the series. Coastal is riding a two-game winning streak.
 
• In the last 10 meetings, Coastal is 6-4, including a win in the elimination round of the 2023 NCAA Conway Regional last June.
 
• Coastal's longest winning streak in the series is seven games from April 28, 2015, through February 28, 2018.
