SAN MARCOS, TEXAS - The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team suffered a narrow 4-3 loss to the Texas State Bobcats today at the UT Austin Indoor Tennis Center in San Marcos, Texas.
The Chants controlled the opening doubles point after a 6-3 win from Anna Babayan and Jesse Hollins against the Bobcats' Jadeh Chan and Mae McCutcheon and a 7-5 tiebreaking win from Nicole Abel and Brooke Rogers over Emma Carr and Emily Niers.
Hollins and Rogers took the second and third singles points with 7-5, 6-4 and 6-4, 6-3 straight-set victories. Texas State would go on to take the final three singles matchups to come away with the decisive 4-3 win in conference play.
The Chants will continue their road trip on Monday, Mar. 18 against the Louisiana Ragin Cajuns at 11 A.M. ET.
