COLUMBIA, S.C. - The Coastal Carolina men's and women's outdoor track and field teams finished competition today on day two of the Weems Baskin Invitational in Columbia, S.C. at the Creeger Track on the Campus of the University of South Carolina.
On day one of the meet, the Chants recorded eight top-10 finishes, with the highest placement of the opening day coming from junior Camryn Lorick in the women's high jump finals. Lorick finished second to Davidson's Sola Omonije with a 1.67m final distance.
Today, CCU tacked on 32 more top-10 finishes, concluding the weekend with 40 total placements inside the top-10 of their respective events. The best finish of day two for Coastal was freshman Katelyn Porter placing first in the women's 800m with a 2:16.04 final time. The Chants also capped off the meet with five second-place finishes on day two, including Amanda Kinloch, Lauralyn Clifford, Claire Spiller and the men's and women's 4x100m relay teams.
Next up for the Chants is a trip to Raleigh, N.C. for the Raleigh Relays on Mar. 28-30.
