CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina beach volleyball team wrapped up an unbeaten weekend at the Chanticleer Challenge on Saturday, beating Emmanuel 5-0 and topping UNCW 4-1. The Chants extended their program-record winning streak to 13 consecutive matches and finished the season undefeated at home for the first time in program history. 

Coastal Carolina moves to 18-6 on the season.
 
Match 1: Coastal Carolina 5, Emmanuel 0
 
Coastal took the momentum from the opening serve as Emma Gonzalez and Elena Sanchez won 21-6, 21-7 on court one. Madison Allred and Raychel Ehlers closed the first wave with a 21-5, 21-8 victory at the No. 4 flight, tying the program record for consecutive wins as a pair with their 12th straight victory.

Denisse Morgenstern and Madie Lichty clinched the win on court three, winning 21-7, 21-5. Ellie Hanford and Emma Kunaus followed with a 21-7, 21-7 win at the No. 2 flight and Julia Blazek and Emma Plutnicki closed the match with a 21-10, 21-13 victory on court one.
 
Match 2: Coastal Carolina 4, UNCW 1
 
Coastal struck first in the battle of Sun Belt foes as Lichty and Morgenstern posted a 21-18, 21-12 victory on court four before Allred and Ehlers set a program record with their 13th consecutive win, a 21-15, 21-14 victory at No. 5.

Kragholm and Riedell gave the Chanticleers the win with a 21-18, 21-19 result at the No. 1 flight. Hanford and Kunaus followed with a 21-16, 21-16 win on court three to give CCU a 4-1 victory.

The Sandy Chants return to action on April 12-13 in Charleston, S.C., for the College of Charleston Beach Classic.
