HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Coastal Carolina women's tennis team (13-7, 7-3 SBC) came from behind to defeat James Madison (8-10, 4-4 SBC) in a 4-3 win today over the Dukes at Hillside Courts in Harrisonburg, Va. 

The Dukes took the opening doubles point after winning the first and second-seeded matchups. The third-seeded matchup between Nicole Abel and Brooke Rogers and JMU's Reka Matko and Hope Moulin was left unfinished at 5-3. 

The Chants recovered in singles play, winning four of six, with three wins coming in a third set tiebreaker. Kata Foldeak opened the scoring by defeating the No. 4 seed Hope Mullin in a straight set, 6-4, 6-4 victory. After dropping the first set in the third and fifth-seeded matches, seniors Jesse Hollins and Cecile Morin came from behind to defeat the Dukes' Cate Broerman and Matko in the third set by scores of 6-2 and 6-1, respectively. After winning the opening set but losing the second, freshman Aida Maria Mitrache  defeated the No. 6 seed Alexandra Prudente, also in a 6-2 win in the third set. 

Morin's come from behind win over JMU's Matko in the fifth-seeded matchup completed the comeback for Coastal to keep the Chants in fifth place in the Sun Belt Conference standings with just one match remaining before the start of the conference tournament on Apr. 25.

Next up for the Chants is a trip to Troy, Ala. for a meeting with the Troy Trojans on Friday, Apr. 19 at 12 P.M. ET in the regular season finale at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
