CONWAY, S.C. – Coastal Carolina defensive lineman Will Whitson was selected to the Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List, the organization announced on Wednesday. 

Whitson, a second-team preseason All-Sun Belt selection, played in all 13 games last season. The grad student recorded 42 total tackles, including 19 solo stops, 5.0 tackles for loss, 3.0 sacks, and five QB hurries last year. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Whitson was also named to the East-West Shrine 1000 List earlier and is a first-team Phil Steele preseason All-Sun Belt selection, as well as a fourth-team Athlon Sports preseason All-Sun Belt pick.

The Reese's Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and the first stage in the NFL Draft process. The longest continual-running all-star game has taken place in Mobile, Alabama the past 75 years.  More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, and over 1100 media members from around the country were credentialed this year.
