CONWAY, S.C. – The Coastal Carolina women's tennis tallied seven wins on day one of the Lynn Stevens Memorial Invitational on Friday at the Stevens Tennis Complex.

The Chants played a round of doubles versus James Madison and two rounds of singles against Campbell and Appalachian State.

• Coastal posted a 7-10 record on the day.
• The Chants went 2-2 in doubles play versus the James Madison Dukes.
• Nicole Abel went undefeated on day one of the Lynn Stevens Memorial Invitational, picking up a singles win over Campbell's Ofer Kivity, (6-4, 6-4) along with a 6-3 doubles win over JMU in the No. 3 spot.
• The Chants went 4-3 in singles play versus the Fighting Camels, highlighted by wins from Anna Babayan ( 6-2, 7-5), Abel (6-4, 6-4), Katya Hersh (6-4, 6-4), and Brunelle Kouam (6-4, 6-4).
• Freshman Kouam went 2-1 in her first day of action in Teal and Bronze.
• Coastal was bested 5-1 in singles play by the Appalachian State Mountaineers
• Brooke Rogers picked up CCU's lone win versus the Mountaineers on court six, 6-0, 6-4.
